The Silence of the Lambs

after midnight -

still in my thoughts

and my heart

long naps

to faraway places...

summertime

estate sale

finding what she needs

for a dollar

(in this case, it was a muffin pan)

the chatter

from his blue blue lips

raspberry ice

remembering

the ginko leaves

in her journal –

the feel of autumn sun

this January night

her old lamp –

the last thing touched

before saying goodbye –

I write inside

its circle of light

the sun

setting behind

them hills

we start to whisper

on the way back home
